Catalogue Note

Semi-cascade (Han kengai) style. This is a Yamadori bonsai. Rare and unusual, the curves and twists in the trunk have been naturally formed. Jin, the technique of removing the bark, covers most of the tree trunk, endowing the tree with age and a rustic appearance. Cypress wood is of medium hardness and is resistant to decay.  The plant has a long life-span and is slow-growing, needing only infrequent trimming. This bonsai needs full sun and good ventilation.
