This painting has been recently restored. The canvas is lined. The stretcher is original. The restoration is very nicely applied. The painting is completely un-abraded and the palette is very fresh. Under ultraviolet light, one can see that there are restorations running across the bottom edge beneath the kneeling nuns in the lower left. There is also a group of retouches in the stone cliff in the upper left quadrant. There is one restored loss in the figure group at the top of the female figure with the white and blue bonnet. There are otherwise no restorations. The condition is good, and the work should be hung as is. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
