Condition

This work is ready to hang. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. The surface of the painting has areas of impasto; overall the paint layer is stable. Under ultraviolet inspection, fluorescing occurs, however this is inherent to the paint selected by the artist.

If I went to New York, I would use the occasion to go to Rand McNally’s, which sells maps of the entire world, and buy them almost as if I were in a supermarket, blindly, in the most arbitrary way possible. Four maps of Africa, for instance, two of Saudi Arabia, one of Brussels, twenty of Honduras, of Belfast, or of any place whatever.
