Condition
This work is ready to hang and is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. The paint layer is stable overall. Minor frame abrasion is present on the upper left and upper right corners in addition to minor areas on the lower right edge and the upper left edge.

“ . . . El Puerto de Granada sobre el Lago Nicaragua es mi almacén de recuerdos. Recuerdo haber visto a muchachas que se bañaban en el Gran Lago, justo antes del amanecer. Fue un momento extraordinario cuando la aurora pintó un resplandor mercurial en la aguas. Me costó mucho trabajo pintar las olas. No tenía la menor idea de cómo iba a resolver este problema, hasta que un día vi una fotografía en un número de la revista Time. Ni siquiera me acuerdo qué representaba, pero mostraba una luz plateada sobre una superficie acuosa. Creo que eso fue lo que me inspiró para lograr el preciso tamaño de las ondas. . . . ”
