Condition

This work is in beautiful and original condition. The stretcher is certainly old and may be original. The work does not appear to have been interfered with, and it is certainly not damaged. The canvas is not reinforced on the reverse or on the edges. No retouches are apparent. Although it is possible that the work is slightly dirty, given the untouched quality of the paint layer, it is not recommended that the work be cleaned. The work should be hung as is.
