Condition
This work on canvas has been lined with a reversible wax as an adhesive. It is stretched on a new
stretcher. The painting was probably cleaned, retouched and varnished at that time. The varnish has
become slightly dull. Under ultraviolet light, it can be seen that some thinness in the bicep of the girl in
the upper center has been slightly retouched and that there is a loss to the right of the catÂ’s head on the left side. Apart from these and a few other retouches on the right, the restorations are minimal. The condition of the painting is healthy. Catalogue Note
