Condition
This work is in good condition. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. There is craquelure visible throughout the work; the paint layer is stable, however. There is intermittent paint loss spread along the edges of the canvas, possible due to frame abrasion. The work is varnished. Under ultraviolet inspection, a varnish is also apparent. What appears to be a one-inch area of in-painting is present in the lower right quadrant specifically within the figure's hair. Another possible area of in-painting is present on the center of the bottom edge.
