Condition
This work is in very good condition. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. The paint layer is stable overall. Fine lines of craquelure are intermittently spread throughout the blue sky. Small pin-sized holes are present in the red flag and in the blue flag (upper left quadrant). Under ultraviolet inspection, a two-inch vertical like of in-painting is visible along the top right edge. Additionally, a five-inch horizontal line of in-painting is visible along the top edge in the upper left quadrant. Some fluorescing does occur in the center of the blue sky; however, this may be a result of the medium used by the artist.
