Catalogue Note
A pair of comparable candelabra with almost identical blue glass urn bodies decorated with leaf-cast gilt mounts, similar bobeches, outcurving cut glass-mounted central arms and two-tiered finials is illustrated Igor Sychev, The Russian Chandelier 1760-1830, Moscow, 2003, fig. 221, p. 49. That pair is assigned to a Saint Petersburg workshop and is currently in the collection of the Russian Museum, Saint Petersburg.
