the frieze fitted with two drawers, one drawer opening to a leather-lined book slope on ratchet support opposed by a pair of dummy drawers.

Condition

Overall in good condition. Leather lining to writing slide possibly original or replaced in 19th century. The boards of the writing surface is slightly warped. Left frontal support with small old chips, now infilled. Some small old infilled chips to right of trestle support. The top with very minor fading to veneer. Overall veneers maintain very good figuring and color. Some very minor nicks and wear to extremities.
