finely painted around the exterior, possibly by William Cotton, with a continuous landscape depicting huntsmen and dogs, affixed with satyr's mask handles, crossed batons and D mark in iron-red.

Condition

There is a restored crack running across the bottom of the interior and up the side behind one terminal of the handle and changing direction and running vertical to the other terminal of the same handle. The restoration is very well done and is not detectable from the exterior. There is some very minor rubbing to the gilding along the edges. Otherwise in good condition.
