Condition
Very good original condition. The color of the wood has a warmer tone than appears in the catalogue illustration. Some minor color variation in the wood, inherent to the making and adds depth to the sculpture. The surfaces with light surface scratches, minor traces of rubbing and minute abrasions, consistent with age and gentle use. The surface of the wood with some minute age cracks consistent with the age. The left side of the sculpture as viewed on catalogue illustration and adjacent area on the base appear to have light discolorations as a result of a liquid. One minor chip to the corner of the base in this same area, visible on catalogue illustration. An exceptional sculpture with great scale and wonderful nuance to the surface when viewed in person.
