Condition

Overall in good original condition. The lacquered body with scattered rubbing and losses and throughout, concentrated near the gilt metal ring and around the lower portion, as seen in the catalogue illustration and consistent with gentle use. Minor oxidation visible in some of the areas of lacquer losses. Minor surface dirt in the recessed portions of the design and to the base of the interior from gentle use. The base of the interior with more concentrated losses to the lacquer and areas of rubbing consistent with use. There are indentations along the single vertical joint which are inherent to the production and visible on the left portion of the piece on the catalogue illustration. A few shallow scratches and minor discoloration to the gilt ring. The piece presents with a great scale when seen in person and with a great patina.
