Condition

Very good overall condition. The patinated bronze surfaces with some occasional light surface scratches, minute abrasions, light rubbing, minor oxidation and surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design consistent with age and gentle use. The upper portion of the standard with some traces of rubbing to the patina, not visible when the shade is placed on the base. Minor rubbing to the patina to three different heights of the standard, visible in the catalogue illustration and corresponding to the seam of the standard. The bronze surface with some minor irregularities inherent to the making, one of them along the upper edge of one of the three legs. The electrical fixture is later. The top of standard fitted with a glass diffuser to suspend the later shade. The shade is in good condition, with minor with light surface dirt consistent with age and gentle use. A wonderful floor lamp, emblematic of Alberto Giacometti's extraordinary decorative creations.
