Condition
Very good overall condition. The structures of the chairs have been relacquered and present with some surface scratches, edge wear to the lacquer and minor abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The upper edge of the seat with some expected minor traces of wear. The seats have been recovered in green leather and present with some light scratches. One of the seats with one minute chip to its center. The wooden feet with some discoloration and surface scratches, consistent with age and gentle use. The proper left front leg of one of the chairs with some traces of old restoration, only visible upon close inspection. Minor staining to the edge of the leg in the same area. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a pair of this early design by Bergsten.
