Description

inscribed to the base MADE by Stephen Toffman and given to Catherine F. Stone [sister of Charles Stone] 1837. Together with a William IV inlaid fruitwood and rosewood box circa 1830; a George III mahogany box; a Regency birch box; and a Regency mahogany inkstand box. 5 pieces.

Condition
The transfer printed box with an age crack to the top running through the central scene the age crack continues to the underside of the top also running through the central scene; small chips and losses to the edges and extremities; the other boxes in fair condition; one with losses to the molded bottom edge with lifting to the veneers and some age cracks; scattered nicks and wear to extremities overall.
