Condition

Tulipes: The canvas has been lined. The colors are fresh and clean. A couple small flakes of pigment may have been lost toward the upper left and right edges, but the paint layer is now stable. Under UV light: fine lines and small strokes of inpainting are scattered throughout. Broader strokes of inpainting are visible along the outer edges. Overall the work is in generally good condition. Pivoines: The canvas has been lined. The colors are fresh and clean. A small flake of pigment may have been lost toward the upper left quadrant at the tip of one of the pink flowers, but the paint layer is now stable. Under UV light: the original yellow pigments fluoresce darkly and there are some fine lines of inpainting scattered in a few areas. The work is in good condition.
