Oil on panel laid down on panel. There is a layer of varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating however UV examination does reveals a few fine lines of vertical retouching to the upper left corner, possibly relating to a previous split in the panel. Some fluorescence to the lower left corner and towards the lower right edge. Some fluorescence to the boat in the centre background. Some scattered very fine lines of crauquelure. This work is in overall good condition.
