Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a dirty layer of varnish which would benefit from a cleaning and which prevents the UV light from fully penetrating, there are however lines and areas of retouching predominantly to the center of the composition, and to the lower right quadrant, with some retouching to the M of the signature. Some shrinkage to the white pigment, between the candelabra and the figure's head. Overall the work is in good condition.
