Condition
The board is sound. Areas of rich, textured impasto especially in the lighter pigments. Surface is clean. The back of the board which bears the Etude de poire, bears some scattered surface scratches and pinholes, which are evidence from a prior mounting; they are unrelated to the condition of the principal painting on the recto of the board. Under UV light a few pindots of inpainting are visible at center right of top edge, likely to address prior frame abrasion, otherwise fine. This work is in very good condition.
