Condition
This work is in good condition. Canvas is not lined and is still stretched on its original stretcher. The surface is mostly richly textured and the pigments are stable, fresh and vibrant. Some thinness to the pigment in areas may be original. Some stable hairline craquelure visible in the circular area of white pigment at right and in the upper left quadrant. Two small reinforcements can be seen on the reverse, one in the upper right and one in the upper left. Under UV light, a few faint retouches can be seen: in the two spots which correspond to the reinforcements on the verso (in the white pigment to the right of the purple square at upper center and to the corner of the green square at center left), and in the blue circle on the far left and in the black semi-circle in the center right. The edges have also received a few small dots of retouching.
