Condition
The work is good condition. The canvas is not lined. There are some stable areas of craquelure scattered throughout, notably in the darkest pigments of the lower half of the composition and towards upper left corner. There is a small spot of loss toward center of upper edge. Very minor frame abrasion along extremely perimeter, not visible when framed. There appears to be some light discoloration to the varnish in the sky. Under UV: there is a thin varnish which is difficult to read through, but some original pigments fluoresce and there are some faint spots of fluorescence toward the perimeter which are likely old retouches, including a thin diagonal line in the upper left corner.
