Condition
Work is in overall very good condition. The canvas has not been lined. The colors are rich and vibrant. Under UV light: certain original pigments fluoresce. There is a layer of varnish which is difficult to read through but a 4-inch horizontal line of retouching is visible in the top left quadrant as well as a few nailhead-sized spots toward center left edge and in bottom right corner. There is a further faint spot of fluorescence to upper right of the figure's chignon.
