Condition
Executed on a sheet of cream wove paper, which has been extracted from a sketchbook. The work is taped to the mount along the edges with restorer's paper. The upper edge is perforated, the sheet is time stained and there are scatered spots of foxing. There are a few perforations in places to all four corners some of which are visible when framed. There are some minor repaired tears and perforations along the lower edge and in places along the upper edge, possibly associated to the perforations. There are a few creases mainly in places to the extreme right edge. There is possibly a repaired tear running verticallly towards the centre of the composition and there is a further one to the right most painted element with miner associated paper loss. There is also a horizontal diagonal surface scratch running about 30cm towards the lower edge. There are some scattered studio stains away from the main image. Otherwise, this work is in fairly good condition.
