  • A LOT OF TWO GILT METAL AND ENAMEL SINGING BIRD BOXESCIRCA 1960
  • silver
  • both lengths approx. 4 inches (10 cm)
the first: rectangular box, sides with applied filigree centered with painted blue enamel panels with white floral centers, the top panel with the same and with flowers in relief to the corners • the second: rectangular box, sides with putti playing instruments and musical trophies, the top panel with a putti playing to a birds' nest • both: lid concealing the singing bird, the bird rises from the pierced reserve, the bird swivels, flaps its wings and moves its beak • the second: case stamped with hallmarks

Condition

Movement running at time of cataloguing on one box, the second will require service. Both boxes in overall good condition. Minor wear and loss to the blue enamel. Birds in good condition with feathers and all features work. International buyers should note that this lot is subject to international CITES restrictions on export. There will be a wait time of approximately 5 weeks for shipment.
