The Astrolabium Galileo Galilei, after the name of the great scientist and humanist, is one of the series of the astronomical watches created by Ulysse Nardin along with the Planetarium Copernicus (lot 77) and the Tellurium Johannes Kepler (lot 79). It was introduced in 1985.
It is one of the rare astrolabe created to be worn on the wrist. It indicates the position of the moon, the sun and some stars as well as the sunrise and sunset, moonrise and moonset, eclipses of the moon and the sun.
