• gilt three quarter plate lever movement • white enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for constant seconds combined with aperture for the moon-phases, day, date, month and leap year in English, outer track calibrated for chronograph, gold and blued steel hands • 18k yellow gold case, cover with polychrome enamel with the Arms of the Maharajah surrounded by a scene of steeple-chase, the inside with his portrait, rear cover with polychrome enamel portrait of The Maharaja Jaswat Singh II surrounded by an enamel disc depicting horse racing, hinged engraved calotte crest to the centre with G.C.S.I. insignia, surrounded by Urdu and Hindu inscription, 'H.H. The movement is running at the time of cataloguing and the chronograph, calendar and moon phase functions appear fully operational. The enamel dial is in good condition. The case with light scuffs, the enamel to the rear cover with losses. Restorations to the enamel to the edges of both covers

Catalogue Note
The Maharaja Jawat Singh II reigned from 1873 to 1895. In 1875 he was awarded the most exalted order of the Star of India and made Knight Grand Commander (G.C.S.I).
