Condition
Original canvas. The paint surface is covered in a layer of dirt. There is a small hole to the centre of the canvas which has been repaired with a patch visible on the reverse. The paint is thin in places and there are small areas of paint loss throughout, in particular along the edges and horizontally across the center where the canvas was possibly folded in the past. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouching throughout, particularly so horizontally across the center of the composition. Held in a wooden frame with a canvas slip. Unexamined out of frame.
