the triple-arched panel with embossed gadroon rim, applied with a double-headed eagle displayed, flanked by bouquets of flowers and fruit, above a compartment for portion plaques, and enclosed by baroque columns fronted by figures of King David and Moses, with Hebrew inscription on an applied cartouche, the top mounted with a crown flanked by a pair of stags, hung with three later bells, with later additions,
Condition
most of the capitals of the columns lost, repairs behind rim, stags not correctly mounted and probably later, flowerheads on base of columns probably later, a patch off center of backplate, the date of figures uncertain but have age, tip of crown replaced
