The rock crystal platform centering two old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.30 and .55 carat, accented by smaller old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 5.00 carats, further decorated with black enamel, with French assay and partial maker's marks, one diamond and one onyx segment missing; circa 1932-1940; suspended from a chain of later addition.
Condition
In good condition. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, predominantly VS-SI clarity with some I clarity examples. One triangular onyx segment is missing. One diamond is missing. The rock crystal is intact. Modified from a brooch, the pin stem has been removed. Partial maker's mark on reverse. Length of chain approximately 16 1/2 inches. Accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity No. 847908132014 from Belperron stating that the piece was manufactured in Paris between 1932 and 1940 by the company B. Herz from a design from Suzanne Belperron. Please note the mounting is composed of white gold and platinum and the surmount is applied with black enamel, not onyx, as stated in the printed catalogue.
