Condition

Overall good condition; the first with some minor inpainting to leaves of trees to top and with some inpainting between brown and green (faded to blue) pigment at the bottom of the painting; the stand with old repaired breaks to the aprons, the front apron with small losses to the left side and with loose piece; the other painting with old repaired crack to the glass at the bottom left corner and with subsequent small losses to the bottom edge and with inpainting as can be seen in the catalogue illustration; the crack could be better-restored; the stand with some restorations to the fret carved boarders; the front apron restored with a glossy finish and replacements; this stand is lacking the back apron; overall each mirror to the back has some minor pitting to the silvering; the figures are very well-painted and the faces and bodies are all in very good condition; there is typical fading to the green pigments which now appear to be blue.
