Condition

19 ¾ in. high, 27 in. diameter Good overall condition. This work represents a portion of a larger collection of Robsjohn-Gibbings furniture on offer in this auction that was acquired in the 1960s by Gustav Tassell. The marble top with a few light scratches and light surface dirt, consistent with age and normal use. The bronze surfaces with some wear and areas of losses to the patina and traces of oxidation throughout. Surface dirt to the recessed areas, consistent with age and use. One of the three feet presents with a smalledge loss measuring approximately ¼ x 1/8 inches, only visible upon close inspection. Another leg is presently slightly askew because of a slight bend to the under stretcher, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The crossbar attaching the three feet has been recently sensitively restored and stabilized at the center. A superb table that epitomizes the artist's zoomorphic creations.
