Condition
Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 16 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. All of the favrile glass cabochons are in very good condition with no visible cracks or damage. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base display an exceptionally deep and rich green and russet brown patina. The patinated bronze surfaces with some occasional light surface scratches and minor surface abrasions, gentle rubbing to the high points of the patina, and with some light surface soiling and a small and minor area of surface discoloration to the top of the cushion base consistent with age and use. All three of the electric sockets appear original and undisturbed; one of the paddle switches is an old period replacement. The riser, wheel and final components appear to be replaced, displaying a complementary patina to the base. A very striking example of Tiffanys iconic Dragonfly model, displaying a bold color palette distinguished by the deeply saturated aqua blue Dragonfly spines and ultramarine and aqua wing glass. The bottom three geometric rows, as well as the scarlet red Dragonfly eyes, are articulated in reverse textured granite and ripple glass, imparting the shade with greater visual interest and depth.
