Overall in very good condition. All of the linenfold glass panels are in very good condition with no visible cracks or damage. All of the abalone shell inlays in the base and top of the shade are intact and undisturbed, displaying strong luminous color. The gilt bronze surfaces of the base with a few small isolated areas of light surface discoloration and oxidation, most notably where the decorated standard meets the base. The top area of the base standard with a surface crack (which appears entirely stable) just below the riser; this crack appears superficial and does not extend through the standard. The two sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed, and with a matching complementary period gilt finial. The top of the shade with minor rubbing from continued surface contact with the finial (only visible when the finial is detached). A very fine example of this attractive lamp design.
