Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The vase with a few minor air bubbles that are inherent in the making. The outermost contours of the shoulder with a few small and light surface scratches, and one area of more concentrated scratches located in the widest gilt decorative band halfway up the body of the vase, which are all consistent with age and gentle handling. The exterior of the vase with wonderful iridization to the decoration imparting brilliant hues of blues, purples and greens over the surfaces. The interior of the collar with nice gold iridization.
When viewed in person, the upper portion of the body with a more radiant off-white hue than what appears in the catalogue illustration. The under base of the vase also engraved 1550. A wonderful example of the firms design showing finely articulated decoration across the vase.
