Description

with later floral red velvet upholstery, together with a George I carved walnut miniature stool, early 18th century, 28cm. high, 37cm. wide, 35cm. deep

Condition

In overall stable condition, having marks of woodworm, which seems to be no longer active; two feet with losses from woodworm damage, stretcher broken and repaired and with reinforcements, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use, crack to one top leg block, pads to feet of later date. Two top leg blocks of later date. Now upholstered in a modern damask. Rails not inspected as it is spring upholstered. Second miniature stool has marks of woodworm and a broken foot in need of repair provoked by woodworm damage. Now upholstered in green velvet.
