Description

- 49cm., 19 2/8 in high
of ovoid eight sided form with moulded fluting, the covers surmounted with flame finials brightly painted in colours with three scroll edged panels containing flowers surrounded by flowering vines, some restoration
Condition
One vase with some restoration and fine haircracks to the rim. Filled shallow chip to footrim, approx. 1.5cm. by 1.5cm. Quite a few chips to footrim, mostly small, the largest approx. 2cm. by 1cm. Haircrack across base which extends up side for approx. 2cm.
The other vase with several fine haircracks to the rim, each approx. 1cm. length. Some typical glaze chipping around the rim.Small glaze chip to shoulder of vase, approx. 2cm. by 0.5cm.Rim chips around foot of vase, the largest approx. 3cm. by 1cm. Starcrack to base.
Covers- each knop restored and chipped. One cover has a glued slice chip and a glaze chip. Both covers with rim chips. One also has a fiilled chip to rim.
