Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is good, with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are minor chips to the edges and slight losses to the brim of the hat and the hair at the forehead, and also to the volute on the violin and the base of the drinking glass. There are a few small naturally occurring inclusions which have been filled on the back of the hat inside the brim. There is naturally occurring veining to the marble.
