Description

Each designed as a cockerel, the feathers set with circular-cut and rose diamonds and red enamel, the eyes respectively set with a cabochon ruby and circular-cut emerald, later chain, fitted case.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Loss to enamel on each brooch. Ruby and emerald with abrasions to surface. Diamonds bright and lively, two diamonds deficient. Chain linking and brooch fitting on smaller cockeral later added. Tarnish and scratches to mounts consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Accompanied by fitted case.
