The necklace designed as a serpent composed of fancy gold links, the enamel head set with half-pearls and cabochon rubies suspending a later cultured pearl drop, length approximately 405mm; the ear studs designed as a pair of natural pearls, post fittings.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Ear studs: pearls measuring approximately 7.8mm, slightly button shaped, well matched, cream with rosé overtones, medium lustre. Post fittings secure.
Necklace: half pearls cream, medium to dull lustre. Pearl drop white, rosé overtones. Rubies with good colour saturation, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Slight wear, with repair to enamel. Slight scratches to metal consistent with age and wear. Clasp secure. In good condition.

Accompanied by CISGEM report no. 81796 stating that the two pearls set as ear studs were found to be natural, saltwater.
