each side brightly enameled with vignettes of birds and flowering plants, two sides with poetic couplets relating to the scene depicted followed by a detailed date and signature, the other sides one with date and signature, the other with just signature, with painted seals reading hua yin (painting seal) and Yu, the countersunk base with one seal reading Hanqing
