of circular outline, the top of the cover decorated with a 'flaming pearl' supported on a stylized blossom surrounded by blossoms supporting the 'Eight Precious Objects', the precious object motif repeated on the sides of the cover and box, six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle (2)

Condition

The box and cover in good condition overall. There is a glazed over firing chip to the rim with associated area of pooled glaze. There are many scattered burst air bubbles to the box and cover, two firing tears to the interior of the cover, and one to the interior rim of the box.
