cast around the central pierced knob in relief with four birds in flight interspersed with floral sprigs, the raised edge with a further eight florets, the grayish-silvered surface with traces of green encrustation

Old Japanese collection, circa 1980, by repute.

There are a few tiny chips around the edge, otherwise in overall good condition.
