the steep sloping flat sides angled at the shoulder, surmounted by a short contracted neck and a tapering mouth set with opposing loop handles, the cover finely cast with a coiled snake with a forked tongue, set on each side with a loop handle matching the handles on the vessel, the surface with a mottled green patina (2)
