Description

of rectangular form with rounded corners, the front and reverse carved identically in low relief with a taotie mask and archaistic motifs, four ruyi-shaped apertures symmetrically carved in openwork, two parallel to the upper rounded corners and the other two parallel to the sides near the bottom, the stone of an even greenish-yellow tone

Condition

The overall condition is good. There is a minor nibble to one shorter side of the plaque. The actual colour is yellower than the catalogue illustration.
