Description

the small rectangular plaque delicately carved in shallow relief with a standing figure in loose-fitting robes, holding a sword in each of his hands, travelling on rippled water, all within a single border, beneath a pair of stylised kui dragons facing opposite sides, the reverse with a slightly raised inscription in script, reading Bixing shenji, yong rou, shu Lintian, Panlouna zhi zi ('meat should be used to worship the Wall Mansion, which is the son of Panlouna and belongs to Lintian'), followed by the apocryphal signature and seal of Zigang, the lustrous stone of an even white tone

Condition

The overall condition is very good. There are very few minor nibbles to the upper edge of the pendant. The actual colour is yellower than the catalogue illustration.
