of circular section, the octagonal sides rising from a circular foot repeated on the other end, seven of the eight sides finely incised with verses from the Prajnaparamita Sutra ('Heart Sutra'), the remaining side incised with 'Xuanhe Er Nian Qiu Qi Yue, Xiu Nei Si Yu Zuo Suo Qian Zhi', the stone of an even white tone

The overall condition is very good with the exception of a tiny nick of approximately 0.1 cm and another minor nick to the inner rim at the top. The colour is slightly paler and the inscription is significantly less visible than the catalogue illustration.
