finely carved with shallow rounded sides supported on a splayed foot, rising to an everted rim interrupted by a pair of handles suspending loose rings, the handles delicately carved in low relief with a dragon head issuing stylised undulating whiskers, the everted rim similarly decorated in low relief with foliate scrolls, deftly carved on the interior with a medallion of a sprig of leaves and peony buds enclosing a peony flower-head, its dense stamen accentuated with meticulous crosshatching incisions, the translucent stone of a pale celadon tone mottled with white specks, wood stand

Condition

The overall condition is quite good with very few expected scratches or nicks. There are a few white patches and veins along the sides of the bowl.
