Description

deftly carved in the round as a seated beast supported on four paws, leaning forward with bulging alert eyes framed by furrowed brows, between flattened ears and a clenched mouth bearing sharp fangs, its strong-muscled back defined by a pronounced curve terminating at a sinuous tail, the stone of an even celadon tone accented with a patch of russet skin to the head

Condition

The overall condition is good and the patina is smooth. There is a russet vein of approximately 1.5 cm long running across the front limb of the beast. The actual colour is slightly greyer than the catalogue illustration.
