Description
of cylindrical form resting on a three-footed concave base, carved and reticulated around the exterior with figures gathering under pine blossoms with a scholar standing in front of an attendant looking at a seated man, another group of scholars looking attentively at an opened scroll, while a young boy stands among three older scholars as one points at a pine branch above, the bamboo patinated to a rich reddish-brown tone

Condition
As visible in the catalogue photo, there are age cracks to the surface, running vertically from the foot, as expected of a piece of this age.
